How does OneCharge connect to charging hardware?

OneCharge is built to be hardware-agnostic: it connects to chargers over the OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) standard rather than locking you into one brand.

Both OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 are supported, so most chargers on the market today can connect with a standard configuration change on the hardware side.

To connect a charger, you point its OCPP settings at the connection URL OneCharge gives you when you add that charger in the Portal — see How do I connect my charger via OCPP? in OneCharge Portal for the exact steps.
